Two columns of Army’s Garrison Infantry Battalion have been pressed into service in Tambaram and Oorapakkam after the Tamil Nadu government sought military assistance.

MILK PRICES WILL BE INCREASED BY RS10/- PER LITRE IN TAMIL NADU FROM 1, NOVEMBER, 2014


THE TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT HAS INCREASED THE PRICE OF MILK SUPPLIES FROM RS.24/- PER LITRE TO RS.34/- PER LITRE EFFECTIVE FROM 01-11-2014.

THERE IS A PROPOSAL BEFORE THE ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION TO HIKE THE POWER TARIFF IN THE STATE.

Major Mukund Varadarajan, of Rastriya Rifles (22Rajput), a 32 year old officer from Tambaram, Tamil Nadu, bestowed with the ASHOK CHAKRA, the Nation`s highest peacetime gallantry award for his for his valour, was killed in an encounter while leading an anti-terrorist search operation in Shopian, South Kashmir,with Hizbul Mujahideen militants in April.

On this day, We pay homage to Major Mukund Varadarahan for his sacrifice and valour.

SUPREME COURT OF INDIA GIVES NOD TO KUDANKULAM NUCLEAR PROJECT


The controversial power project set up in Kudankulam, around 650 kilometres south of Chennai, with two Russian-made, 1,000-MW nuclear reactors for the generation of power had been in the news for quite some time and there were objections, agitations and public outcry regarding the environmental hazards of nuclear plant. The fishermen and the localites had petitioned the Madras High Court and an appeal was pending before the Apex court.

Today, The top court observed that development of nuclear energy is important for India and allowing the plant is in larger public interest and has given its nod to go ahead with the generation of power, thus dismissing the bunch of petitions challenging the Madras High Court Orders

SARJAPUR-HOSUR ROAD SITES IN TAMIL NADU UNDER HNTDA, HOSUR.


THE TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT AND THE HOSUR TOWN ADMINISTRATION IS TAKING A SERIOUS VIEW ON THE LAYOUTS (ILLEGAL AND UNAUTHORISED LAYOUTS FORMED IN GREEN BELT AND AGRICULTURE ZONE) FORMED WITHOUT THE CONCURRENCE OF THE HNTDA, WHICH IS THE TOWN PLANNING AUTHORITY FOR THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT OF HOSUR AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS.

THE SARJAPUR ROAD CONNECTING IT TO BAGALUR ROAD IS UNDER THE PURVIEW OF HNTDA AND THE LAYOUTS FORMED IN THESE AREAS MUST HAVE THE APPROVAL FROM THE AUTHORITY.  THE AUTHORITIES ARE IN THE PROCESS OF INITIATING ACTION ON SOME OF THE LAYOUTS WHICH DO NOT OR HAVE NOT GOT THE APPROVAL OR FORMED IN CONTRAVENTION TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE TAMIL NADU TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT.

IT IS RELIABLY LEARNT THAT NOTICES WILL BE SLAPPED ON THE LAYOUTS FORMED WITHOUT THE APPROVAL. IN THE MONTH OF APRIL AND MAY, THE HNTDA HAS APPROVED 10 LAYOUTS WITHIN ITS JURISDICTION.
