THE BMTF CHIEF HAS CLARIFIED THAT, UNDER THE POWERS DELEGATED TO IT, CAN TAKE UP ALL CASES OF ENCROACHMENT AND VIOLATIONS AND ARE CONTINUING THEIR ACT OF RECOVERING THE GOVERNMENT LANDS AND THE WITHDRAWAL OF SOME OF THE NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT HAVE RETROSPECTIVE EFFECT on THE CASES WHICH HAD ALREADY BEEN BOOKED, WILL BE INVESTIGATED AND WILL BE DEALT AS PER THE PREVAILING LAWS.
The Jagadish Shettar government is considering a proposal to revive the A T Ramaswamy committee report on encroachment of government land in Bangalore, which has unearthed over 40,000 acres land worth Rs 50,000 crore encroached in and around Bangalore.
The report of task force on government land encroachment across the state headed by V Balasubramaniam would also be taken up. The government has short listed retired additional chief secretaries K Jairaj and Mr.V.Balasubramaniam (task force head) to suggest government ways and means to implement both the reports. This action by the Government has sent shivers down the spine of land mafia, land developers, encroachers and violators.
After a long time, it seems that the Government is serious about initiating action and recovering the public properties.
THE STATE GOVERNMENT IS SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING WAYS AND MEANS TO TACKLE AND RECOVER THE PROPERTIES ENCROACHED ON THE BASIS OF THE A.T.RAMASWAMY COMMITTEE REPORT AND TASK FORCE REPORT SUBMITTED BY MR.A.T.RAMASWAMY., M.L.A AND THE TASK FORCE HEAD, MR.V.BALASUBRAMAINAN. THE GOVERNMENT MAY APPOINT MR.V.BALASUBRMANIAN.I.A.S.(rtd) AND MR.JAYARAJ.,I.A.S.(rtd) TO SUGGEST AND RECOMMEND THE PROCEDURE FOR THE RECOVERY OF GOVERNMENT LANDS(INCLUDING BDA PROPERTIES- FOR SOME OF WHICH, THE BBMP HAS ISSUED KATHAS) WORTH OVER RS40,000/- CRORES.
2000 acres of lands belongs to BDA alone valued over Rs2,000/- crores, encroached illegally by vested interests, in and around bangalore urban and rural districts. Revenue sites, Gramathana Sites, Illegally converted DC Conversion sites, buildings constructed on Raja Kaluve, Bandi Dhaari and Valleys will be recovered. The BBMP has issued KATHA CERTIFICATE AND KATHA EXTRACT for properties, which had been acquired and many banks hands in glove with sellers have sanctioned loan for such properties, will be recovered or attached.
