BBMP TO HAVE 10 WARDS – Decision is by the Council – The council is undecided
BBMP is considering the proposal made by a BBMP restructuring committee led by former IAS officer BS Patil to add two more zones from 8 zones to 10 zones to manage the civic body in better terms.
The restructuring committee has also suggested the abolishing of three zones – East, West and South – and suggested the 10 zones named are, Yelahanka, Dasarahalli, Govindraj Nagar, Padmanabha Nagar, Bommanahalli, Jayanagar, Mahadevapura, KR Puram, Malleswaram and Rajajinagar.
