  1. Is this applicable even for sites that are not DC converted (from agricultural to residential)? If not, can one apply for DC conversion and then apply for regularization by paying betterment charge? When will BBMP start receiving applications for this and what will be time frame for applying?

    1. It is only for the DC converted sites, as of now. BBMP Commissioner will issue notification soon in this regard and all the details will be available in the circular.

  2. dear sir,
thanks for the regular updates, i would like to know that it is mentioned only for dc converted, what about revenue sites already betterment charges paid but not dc converted, comming under old wards(i.e within 100 wards)please let me know
the procedure should also i apply for a-khata from bbmp.

  3. So this mean conversion of B – katha to A – katha, same as akrama sakrama?? I have a revenue site and its B – katha will this do for me or do i have to wait for the akrama sakrama?

    1. There is no B katha at all. Hence, it cannot be converted. B form is given to the properties which are illegal, unauthorised and has not complied with the applicable laws and statutes. It is issued only for the collection of taxes. It does not confer any right, title and interest.
How can an illegality be converted?
      Only, it happens in India.
Check your documents and the legal opinion given by your advocate at the time of purchase and consult him to find out the nature, status and compliance to the prevailing and applicable laws.
If your property is eligible, then, can get it regularised.

  4. Sir,
What needs to be done to sites registered during 2000 and earlier (before BBMP extended), under panchayat limits and having Panchayat khatha. Can they get A khatha from BBMP now or need to wait for regularization schemes or is it advisable to get B khatha and wait further for such sites..

  5. is all B-khata sites will be DC-converted by default ? I mean can there be any b-khata site without DC-converion. According to me the hierarchy is Revene->DC->BBMP (B or A) . Am i right ??
