Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jaya lalitha opened `amma canteen` at the government hospital in Chennai to provide nutritious and affordable food poor patients, spread over 5,100 sq ft and can accommodate 300 people at a time, offering `idlis` for one rupee each in the morning, rice preparations for Rs 5 for lunch time and chapattis at Rs 3 per piece for lunch and dinner.
