THE BBMP REVENUE AUTHORITIES WILL SCRUTINISE THE DOCUMENTS AND LEVY THE BETTERMENT/IMPROVEMENT CHARGES FOR THE DC CONVERTED PROPERTIES ONLY. THE BETTERMENT CHARGES MAY BE PAID IN INSTALMENTS AS PER THE DIRECTION OF THE HIGH COURT.
THE CHARGES ARE NOT COLLECTED FOR REVENUE SITES AND OTHER TYPES OF PROPERTIES.

YES. If you have good (legal compliance) and clear titles as per the order, you can pay it.

Revenue sites are an illegal entity. Sites are formed or bifurcated in the agricultural/revenue land. The Govt banned the registration of such properties.
If you have DC conversion for your sites, you can pay. Generally, the DC conversion is for the entire extent of land and not for individual sites, in such case, betterment will not be accepted as it is against the DC Conversion order. There are numerous conditions on which the DC Conversion is issued, if the conditions are not complied with, the DC conversion order stands cancelled automatically and the land will be brought back to its original use(agriculture) and all the expenses will be collected as revenue dues from the landlord by the Government.
Get the layout approved by BDA, then, there is no issue. Otherwise it is called an unauthorised layout or illegal layout and the Govt has the powers to demolish and bring it back to the original use(agriculture)
I have a DC converted property and as per your above information I contacted BBMP office, RR nagar ward to pay the betterment charges. But the BBMP officials said they have not recived any circulars yet to start collecting the betterment charges. But your article says it already started. Please clarify.
BBMP has decided to collect and appropriate orders have to be issued for the collection. Wait till the orders are issued and then pay.

If you offer a service to get this done, I am happy to pay the service fee. I made inquiries a few days back and the office did not seem to know about this new order. They said it can only be done for the entire survey number and not individual sites. This was the case earlier as well – so they said there was no change in the status.
Is it possible they have not got the intimatiion yet or something like that?

BBMP has decided to collect and got the approval from the Govt. It is yet to be implemented and appropriate orders have to be issued. Check with your local BBMP office.
We regret to state that we do not offer this service for the timebeing due to shortage of staff.
It is for the entire or total extent of DC converted and not for individual or bifurcated sites.
The decision has been taken as per the directive of the High Court of Karnataka.
Till date BBMP is not ready to collect the betterment charges for DC converted site. Please let me known still how long they take time to collect.
Is it a single property converted by the DC order? Read the order properly. If it is a single property as stated in the Dc Conversion order, then the BBMP will collect otherwise, you must have vp katha(old), if not wait for akrama-sakrama.
The DC order is for the Sy. N,not for the single property.
You are not legally eligible to pay and hence the BBMP cannot accept the payment.
Read the DC order. If you had not complied with the conditions laid down in the order,the DC Conversion order stands withdrawn or cancelled without notice.

If the layout is approved by the BDA, It is legitimate and you can get the BDA katha.
What is a vp katha? is there a way to find if my land belogs to vp Katha. From what I hear its b-katha. is there a diff. between vp Katha and B-Katha?
You would have consulted an expert before the purchase and hence cross verify the report with your docs about the status and nature of your property. VP katha is Village Panchayat katha.

Is the layout approved by the appropriate planning authority? or Do you have VP katha? if you have any one of it, you can pay and get Genuine Katha for the property.

It was not approved by any authority. It is in the limits of BBMP. Land is DC converted and having whole layout A khata. we dont have any VP khatha.
With this DC conversion shall I get the individual site A khatha by paying the RS. 550/sq.meter .. as per the recent BBMP Notification ?
It is an illegal or unauthorised layout. This property is not eligible for the payment of Betterment charges. BBMP notification is not for unauthorised layouts. It is for the whole extent of the DC Converted property and any bifurcation is illegal. Check with your advocate`s report about the status and the nature of this property.
How would it be, if theDC converted layout was approved by VP?.

I have a site near Tumkur Road. Lot of sites in the Layout have A Khatas (by paying betterment charges some time back. The Layout was formed in 1981 by DC order), and some people who had not paid betterment charges have B-Khatas. Can I pay betterment charges now an get Genuine Khata ?

I intend to buy a 30 x 40 plot from a vendor who has converted about 4 acres and has got the layout plan approved by BDA. The plot is within the jurisdiction of BBMP. If I am going for a bank loan, do I need to produce all the related records prior to BDA approval? In case I purchase the site from my own funds,and register the plot, can I get khatha in my name and can I get clear title to the property?
If it is a BDA approved layout(genuine), if the titles are clear (BDA approval does not mean clear titles and BDA does not confer any titles nor guarantee clear titles) you can buy it, All and every bank will fund the property for both the purchase and the for the construction and you can get the BBMP katha. Whether you buy it with your OWN MONEY OR BANK LOAN, the process of katha does not differ. The Katha transfer depends upon the title, bifurcation, compliance to KLR Act and KTCP Act, tax paid,DC Conversion, NOC`s and BDA approval.

We are in process of buying the property at Konankunte Near Kanakapura Road, there was an agreement between the seller and myself saying that the betterment charges need to be bored by the seller itself. there is separate conversion number in sale deed saying 111/88-89, but the conversion order copy saying that 112/88-89.
Seller has enquired abt the same in DC office record room, correct one is 112/88-89, so we got the affidavit from the current owner.
After all these BBMP is saying that the betterment charges will be collected only in AKRAMA SAKRAMA. even though it is converted land. and What is FORM 9 AND HOW TO GET THAT..??

BTM Layout is a BDA Approved/BDA layout. There is no need to pay any betterment charges.
I have already purchased Green belt site measuring 40X60, and it is not DC converted, but has following facilities like 30Feet tar Road & road side trees have planted, water piping has done, electricity poles, drainage’s, small park for children’s, plus club house, and this layout has total 500 sites approximately & all of them were sold and most of them are purchased by Army personnel, Can you please help me how can I pay betterment charges??
And also I have heard from third party, saying this area is going to convert from green belt to yellow belt shortly, may be by February or March-2014, will be implemented.
