  1. Though this is a good move, in my humble opinion, there are so many other things the CM can look in to which will make the property buyers/owners in Bangalore feel much better,
for eg. A rule should be made such that one cannot own a residential plot without constructing a house for say 5 years from the date of purchase. This will at least prevent uncontrolled growth of parthenium plants in the ill maintained sites which are health hazards to the neighbouring site owners who have constructed their houses and living there. Even if such a rule is made, who cares, in India rules are only on paper and the people who are supposed to enforce them will be the offenders…

  2. Hi There,

I want to know if I have a legal right to claim my Grandfather’s Property (Mother’s Father). I am a female and married in 2011. My mother and his father (my grand father) are dead.

My Grandfather did not leave any Will. He had 5 Children’s: 2 Son’s (My uncles) and 3 Daugther including my mother. My mother was the eldest among all.

My grandfather’s 2 daughter’s (My mother and my aunty are dead).

My uncle’s want to divide and sell the property, which I do not want them to do as my grandfather has built this building with lot of pain. Hence I want to know my right on this property to stop the sale or claim the propery share.

    Thanks,
    Sarita

    1. Dear Ms.saritabala,
Yes. You have the claim.(share). All 5 children have equal right in their father`s property. Initiate the partition proceedings in the appropriate court to claim your share and cannot stop them from selling/disposing (their share)it.
