G Vidyasagar, the chairman of Karnataka Lake Development Authority ((KLCDA), has been transferred and promoted as head of the Karnataka Forest Development Corporation. The transfer came at a time when the National Green Tribunal censured the state for the gross mishandling of the Bellandur and Varthur Lakes.

Rumors abuzz  that the decision came two days after he acted against a powerful notorious builder, very close with one of the powerful minister and a powerful lobby.
