GREATER BENGALURU AUTHORITY TO MANAGE THE CITY – A PROPOSAL

        The 11 member committee constituted by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, headed by senior Congress leader B.L. Shanker submitted a report to the KPCC president G Parameshwara at the party office in Bengaluru, recommending the formation of Greater Bengaluru Authority for chalking out mega plans for the city, consisting of BDA, BWSSB, BESCOM, BBMP and BMTC, consisting of experts in various fields and a fixed number of City MLAs and further recommended a separate Act for the city on the lines of Mumbai and Kolkata.
